One Year on Admiral: A Love Letter to Seattle Beauty

Some dreams start with a grand plan. A business model, a location scouted, a team assembled. Dr. Des's dream started with a travel kit.

Back in 2018, when Seattle Beauty was just an idea - really just a name and a vision taking shape in the back of her mind - Dr. Des was doing two things at once. By day (and night, and overnight), she was working in the ICU, caring for critically ill patients with the kind of precision and humanity that defines the best of medicine. And in between shifts, she was showing up at people's homes, travel kit in hand, offering the treatments she believed in: thoughtful, medically grounded aesthetics, delivered with genuine care.

House calls for wrinkle relaxers. A one-woman operation. No storefront, no team - just a provider who believed that aesthetic medicine, done right, could make people feel like themselves again.

That was the seed.

Eight Years of Growth, One Extraordinary Year

What Dr. Des couldn't have imagined in 2018 is what Seattle Beauty has become, and specifically, what this past year has meant.

One year ago, we opened our doors at our ground-level storefront on Admiral Way SW, West Seattle. It wasn't just a change of address. It was a declaration. A permanent home for a practice that had outgrown its humble beginnings and was ready to put down roots in a community it loves.

And the community showed up.

In the past year alone, over 800 new faces have walked through our doors at Seattle Beauty. Eight hundred people who trusted us with something deeply personal: the way they look, the way they feel, the way they move through the world. That number humbles us every time we say it out loud.

What We Actually Do Here

Seattle Beauty is a boutique medical spa, but we bristle a little at any description that makes us sound like just another place to get treatments. What we do is build relationships.

Every person who walks in is met not with a menu of services but with a conversation.

That hasn't changed as we've grown. If anything, it's only deepened.
